  i would like as many people that can, to respond to this appeal as i am sure their are many examples out their that may help lurkers and fence sitters to make a decision on where they stand regarding the "truth".

  How did they get along for the 100 plus years before 1992 without having the UN library?

  The same way they do today .They make shit up as they go!

  If you look it up like I did just now. Nealy every state university has one . Including New York university & New York public library. Hell even Arkansas has one at UA!

  But maybe you're right maybe it was too far to be expected to go an additional 4 or 5 miles to maintain their Christian neutrality. We expect to much I guess.

  Meanwhile they can sell a kh that we helped build and pay for and maintain . And they expect us to drive an additional 30 miles to the smoke and mirror show.

  Gas was 70 cents or so a gallon in 1992 but 3.00 a gallon now .such love they have pffffft!

  By the way how have they been able to cope without the library since they shut it down?

  What crime should elders report?

  so, i am trying to get my head around what the right position of elders should be when they come across crime is.. i think i get the issuess around clergy confidentiality - and how that might potentially be breached when they talk about it to other elders, let alone the police.. but if people are saying that elders - or clergy of another faith should report crime to the police when it is confessed to the, then where are the boundaries.. so if someone says they should report to police on a confessed example of child abuse, that's one thing.. how about reporting to police consensual sex between a 19year old and 15 year old - which is statutory rape in the uk.

  how about criminal fraud if they come across it.

  assault on a congregant?.

  They shouldn't report to police because they shouldn't be involved in the lives or decisions of others. The whole problem is the elders unnecessary involvement in other people's lives In the first place.

  They're shouldn't be any disfellowshipping or shunning or need for a jc. Let people live their lives the best they can and if they decide not to be a member of you're faith shake hands and part ways.

  If a person is wronged let that person or their guardians decide how to react. By following this advice there would be no more lawsuits or investigations. But it's possible you lose membership. Which is where all their conundrums stem from.

  Doubter,you're link only further proves the point as to how ridiculous of an excuse to join the UN for a library pass was in the first place.

  They could have used the internet or any nearby depository that had access to all the information the UN had. Joining the UN is a slap in the face to every kid that went to school and maintained a neutral stance.

  WTBTS betrayed their flock and their God by being affiliated with the UN!

  I've read you're history of posts and you belong with the hypocrites you serve!

  wt on education..

  i have just watched the glass smashing on the wt video on education.. please consider these experiences from the opposite side of that "coin".. i have heard young ones say out-loud on the mike in the kh that "jehovah is my special friend.."these ones who were at the top of the wt 'tree' pioneering, putting in the hours etc but, it followed that soon saying that pivotal statement they dropped their pioneering, faded, picked up the girl/boyfriend and suffered being dfd.. so where did their wt "education" leave them?

  it left them as young adults naive to the world, unskilled, with no qualification to offer any employer and having to replace their former family/associates/friends with new ones.. ( dont get me going on shunning) in some cases with little success as we have read here where they moon about for months or longer unable to emotionally heal after the leaving or df'ing and also others with such a turn around they would never have believed it possible... there was a wt that related how a brother (!

  ) followed an interest in history and left the truth.

  The televangelist compares a upside down deformed wine glass to higher education. Says it's useless to God and then throws it in the trash.

  The guy should know alot about waste. As he is a waste of sperm and egg.

  a few years back i was in a meeting between fades and it was the co visit.

  he said something i thought was crazy and a lot of jws buy into this mentality.

  i don't remember the talk but he asked this question.. what if this isn't the truth?

  I remember people crying while watching it on TV. I had zero emotions I actually remember laughing a lil. Please don't roast me for it as now I see just how precious life is.

  I went about my day at the time though saying at least now they have a hope. I hate that saying now!

  Adding insult to injury when the WT kicks out a congregation from their hall

  not only does the organization confiscate the hall the congregation owns.

  but then the former congregants are told to continue to pay for utilities and they are still responsible for upkeep and maintenance.

  so they still have to cut the grass etc.
